Alhamdulillah today was the last day of my 6 days of fasting in Syawal. To me I find it difficult to perform my sunnah fasting other than the obligatory but alhamdulillah I made it. To celebrate I decided to go to Mekkah and perform some prayers there.
I have been told that this is the time for those residing in KSA to perform umrah since the visa for haj and umrah is still not open yet. My friend told me last week when he perform tawaf; it was only 10 minutes and the circulation was well within Maqam Ibrahim. I was excited and would like to take this golden opportunity to do and recite prayers in places where our doa is 'maqbul'.
We left Jeddah after magrib prayer and went straight to Mekkah. Faisal was driving his new Camry accompanied my Shuhaidi and myself. We parked our car at Noori supermarket in Noori Ruseifah and took a private taxi to Haram. It costs us SAR 10.
As we arrived the Isya prayers was over and three of us had to pray among ourselves and I became the Imam. This was the first time in my entire life leading as an Imam in the Holy Mosque. I was touched that Allah has chosen me to lead the prayer in his house.
After the prayer I drank Zam-Zam water and we went straight to Al Safa Tower to have our dinner. There is a Malaysia Restaurant called D'Saji. As we approached the building, we were greeted with Salam and given a book Rukun Islam in Bahasa published by University of Madinah. We went to the second floor and the place was a bit quiet and not many people around as compared to the usual umrah season. I ordered roti canai and teh tarik.
We then ajourned back to the holy mosque to perform our tawaf sunnat and while ciruclating 7 times; deep inside me wanting to kiss the black stone. After completing the 7 rounds, I prayed sunnat right in front of the multazam near the Kaabah's door and then to hijir ismail which reminds me of the first time I performed umrah with my mom, sister and wife.
The ambiance was same, I had the opportunity to pray right in front of Kaabah, pray at hijir ismail and kiss the black stone. Since then I never had the chance to kiss the black stone until tonight. Alhamdulillah. Allah is most gracious most merciful.
I felt my trip tonight was so meaningful and as if it was a gift from Allah after I managed to complete my Puasa 6. I was so touched with the blessing of Allah.
Our journey back home was easy, We took a cab behind Intercontinental hotel to Ruseifah the place where we parked our car. We drop by at Noori to drink freshly squeezed sugar cane drink. I was really refreshing. On our way back we kept talking on our next adventure to climb the mount nur where the Hirak Cave is, the place where Prohpet Muhammad saw had been isolating himself before islam.
Insyallah I will share my experience visiting those places with my blog visitors.
